The first Anjirang Gopchang Youth Street Festival was held in 2013 to not only celebrate the designation of Anjirang Gopchang Street as one of “Korea’s Top Five Thematic Food Alleys” and the completion of the public parking lot, but also promote the “Street of Youth.” Held every year since, this festival now attracts a great number of visitors.

Chosen to be included among the “Tour Korea Top 100” by the Korea Tourism Organization in 2015, Anjirang Gopchang Alley has become a national tourist destination in both name and substance.

The Anjirang Gopchang Youth Street Festival aims to become a representative festival of Daegu Metropolitan City, and Anjirang Gopchang Alley is striving to become a thematic alley of Korea that is popular not only in Korea but around the world, thereby promoting harmony among the locals and vitalizing the regional economy..
