Gosangol Sculpture Park was established in 2008 and 2009 as a nature-friendly ecological park in Gosangol in Apsan, the most popular mountain among Daegu citizens to go and get some rest and relaxation. Featuring numerous small sculptures erected in harmony with nature, the park was created as a means of supporting the creative activities of local artists, increasing the interest of citizens in the arts, and promoting culture and the arts in the Nam-gu region.

The park is home to 14 sculptures by active and talented local artists, with an additional nine located within the grounds of Nam-gu Government Office, providing citizens the opportunity to appreciate arts in the city center.
